What Is a Coil Heater?
Coils used for heating air can be hot-water, superheated-water, steam, or electric. Since air heating in coil heaters occurs at a constant specific humidity, the heat transferred to the air causes an increase in the air’s sensible temperature, i.e., its actual temperature.
Depending on the properties of the heating fluid, heating coils are typically:
1. Copper tube, aluminum fins
2. Copper tube, copper fins
3. Steel tube, steel fins
4. Steel tube
5. They are selected with stainless steel tubing.
